This organization partners with the local shelter and rescue groups to select and train certified therapy dogs and help them find their “furever” homes. The pups and their new owners serve our community by spreading love (and tail wags) at hospitals, schools, nursing homes, special needs centers, and more.
CommunityWorks provides financial education, home purchase assistance, small business lending, and entrepreneurial development that isn’t available through mainstream financial institutions. By helping the underserved individuals and families in our community achieve their dreams and financial goals, CommunityWorks helps Greenville thrive.
What started as a soup kitchen in 1981 has expanded into an organization with several programs, including a culinary school that equips underemployed individuals to work in restaurants, a Cooking for Kids program for low-income families, a garden, and even a food truck! Each initiative helps to end hunger for people in the Greenville community.
This year, we’re holding even tighter to the things that make us smile. From whipping up mountains of festive treats, to competing with our neighbors for the most dazzling light display—we may be a little stir crazy, but we’re finding joy in this special season!
