A creative designer with a calm demeanor, Himesh, our “aesthetic illusionist,” surprises and delights all of us with his artwork—and when he breaks his typical thoughtful silence with a hilariously witty comment. With artistic skill, Himesh takes complex ideas and presents them in an easy-to-understand, aesthetically pleasing visual style. Before arriving at Think Up, Himesh spent nearly 11 years as the store artist for Whole Foods and 3 years as a graphic designer within the in-house marketing team at RedSail Technologies. Himesh is inspired by music and is incredibly proud of his collection of over 1,000 vinyl records. However, he is most proud of his two grown kids who amaze him every day.
Beside the point....
- While he was born in Kampala, Uganda, Himesh grew up in London. He’s a loyal Liverpool F.C. fan!
- Beyond collecting records, Himesh has also been working on acquiring unique copies of Frank Herbert’s Dune. He owns 18 different editions of the book, including one in German!
- When asked what famous person he would invite over for dinner, Himesh said Vaughan Oliver, the graphic designer for the record label 4AD. Himesh has admired and collected Oliver’s work over the years and would love to discuss his organic design style, use of typography, and creative influences.
