the creative cure

Simply put, Think Up’s “creative cure” makes things work. Enthusiastic about change and continued improvement, Jake gets fired up about transforming challenges into opportunities for better design. As the leader of our Product Development team, Jake oversees the creation of meaningful learning experiences and products that strike the perfect balance between form and function. Drawing from his experiences as a designer, Creative Director, and Senior Director of Creative Production for Global Learning with Marriott, Jake’s glass-half-full attitude and aptitude for problem-solving make him an indispensable part of Think Up. Jake received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the California College of the Arts and holds a Master of Science – Internet Marketing from Full Sail University. He is a member of the AIGA and the eLearning Guild. Recently, Jake taught design courses as an Adjunct Professor at the George Mason University School of Arts. In his own words: “I create. I build. I disrupt …and of course reunite … and deep-fry the solution when possible.”

beside the point…
  • Jake was raised in a town where the elevation is higher than the population (Gooding, Idaho).
  • An avid golfer, he has played three of the current British Open courses, including the Old Course at St. Andrews.
  • Jake and his wife Belle have three children
  • When he was five, Jake was accidentally left at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in San Diego while the rest of his family made their way to Sea World. They were all the way inside the park before they realized he wasn’t there.
